When I was a young girl, dogs were not treated the way they are now. I had dogs all my life and don't remember my parents buying dog food for instance. The dog ate what we ate. And for sure there were no birthday celebrations OR dog bakeries to purchase a cake. WHAT!? Cakes for dogs? An absurd idea to buy a birthday cake for a dog.
Today we do so much for out dogs. There are more bakeries selling dog cakes for dogs than ever before. It has become quite common to plan a birthday party, and no party is complete without a cake.
Dogs live such short lives, they should be spoiled. They should be celebrated.
We love them and they love us. Let them eat cake!
